Poetry, by me AJP
I shot this chipmunk with my camera on the 22nd through the screen of our window. She was deep in thought and she stood still for quite awhile. I love the expressions they get on their faces....They are very intelligent and self-sufficient little creatures and I have utmost respect for how they deal with survival...
They truly are great in my opinion!

Thank you all for your comments...I love how she is holding a seed in her fingers....Gloria, she knows I don't deprive her of food because she is not afraid to come back for more and judging by the size of her little belly and cheeks she eats enough for two chipmunks:)...She's a cutie, but I also let her have her freedom and space because basically they are wild creatures so I take all of my pictures through the window so as not to intimidate her...They are very nervous by nature and if she ever catches me with the camera she is off like a rocket. I gradually walk to the window as quietly as I can.
