The Lord God is a sun and shield: The Lord will give grace and glory...
Psalms 84: 11

I really love these summer days and as I was taking pictures, I ended up by the
crab apple tree again to soak in the sunshine.... there are a few glints of
sun on my face but that's better than shadows....This was the same garland
of apples that I shot a few days ago where the branch that formed a frame
broke in half. It was easier this time to kneel underneath it. LOL

Thank you all for the comments..Bruce, my husband is the one who likes to make the jelly and it is good...I used to make jelly but it was never as good as how my husband makes it...so I gladly let him do it. LOL...Donald, the sun wasn't harsh and I like that kind of softness for taking self portraits especially at my age..Richard, I wasn't too crazy about the self portrait that I shot a few days ago in the same spot which was way too bright... so I wanted to see if I could do a better job with the late afternoon lighting .

Beautiful self portrait Andrea, it is very flattering to you and your red top makes the red in the apples come out much better. Crabapple Jelly ... I bet it is delicious : )

I love both the earlier SP and this one of you under the crabapple tree. They each have such a special quality about them.. and speaking of crabapple jelly, a year ago I canned them and made jelly until forever it seemed as my sister-in-law kept bringing more.. they are so good and I'm glad you'll be able to enjoy these, too.

I want some jelly too!! You are going to have to open up a business. LOL. Great SP again Andrea. A little fill flash would take care of the sun spots aka hot spots.
