I love the red Dahlia's that are blooming now and decided to pose with them this evening at 7:00 PM. The mosquitoes were biting tonight which is probably why I have such a serious look on my face. LOL
I am late in wishing Judy a happy birthday but I dedicate this page to her...I know how much she loves flowers and she has taken many beautiful pictures of them on her site...

A lovely birthday gift for Judy....I 'm sure she will love it. The deep velvety red of the Dahlias contrast well with the evening colours.

Lovely portrait and wonderful trip to our Judy! You must have an ideal climate for dahlias...they are huge!! My sister-in-law grew those year-round in California.

years ago I saw some that were even bigger in front of an Antique shop..They
were so gigantic they were drooping their flower heads. They were about the
size of a sunflower.. I was not aware they could get that big. I would love to
catch a butterfly on one of these...but so far they are going more for the Zinnias. -
