While on a field trip to a cemetary in St. George, Barbados, two of my Class 1 students, Reshawn and Kristann, ran off to the edge of the field and stood silently still for a couple of minutes. After weeks of teaching these children about photography and how to use a camera, we had finally gained permission to put their new found knowledge and skills to practice. The only safe and contained area we could go was to a local church cemetary, where the children were split up into groups and took turns taking photographs and being the subjects within them. This here is a classic example.
