My grandmother Carrie at 94 years of age, returning to visit the house her father built over 100 years ago. After not being inside the house of her childhood memories since she was ten, we got to go inside for a final visit before it was recently torn down to put up a set of new town houses. To think she would one day return to the same home she was raised in, this time with her own daughters and grandkids, is not something many people get to experience. The original stained glass windows her father put in still remained intact and she was so amazed that she was now tall enough to see over the sills! A time for silence and reflection followed. I can only guess at the sweet n' timeless moments that must have been passing through outside...
We had the windows set aside before the house was demolished but sadly, someone posing as a member of the family came and picked them up, never to be seen again. I'm just thankful she was able to relive a long past part of her life and have these images to reflect upon from now until forever...
