I remember the day so well. I was home and my middle son called me from out of state and asked if I was watching TV. I was not, but when I turned it on, I could not believe what I was seeing. LIVE.

A few days after the events of that horrible day, I made this little piece. It was and still is my way of honoring the fireman that tried so hard to save so many. It also reminds me of ALL the people who were lost, the strangers who found them and all who were there-helping.

We Remember Them All.

I will carry the memories of that day with me forever.

What a wonderful tribute! I was at work that day (at the cable company, so there were many TV's). The memories of the photos and videos will stay with me forever. I can't believe it has been 10 years since our innocence was shattered.

A very moving way to remember those who gave their lives saving others. I think the image of the planes exploding into the Twin Towers is burned into the memories of every patriotic American who witnessed it that day. I was at home with my daycare kids. The weather was turning bad, so I turned the news channel on just before I saw the second plane fly into the building. Thank God the children were small and didn't notice what was happening. I remember a sick feeling that I hope I never feel again. God bless America! Great entry, Gloria!

Wonderful entry....I will never forget that day. I remember driving home from college classes when I heard it on the radio, and when I got home I turned on the TV to see what was happening. Horrified, scared, and I went to see my parents, I felt like a little kid all over again, just knowing they were close by gave me comfort.

Thank you for your notes and memories. I don't think I turned off my TV for a week. 24-7 I know this is not what JPG meant by things one carries.... but I just know this is one thing each one of us indeed carries. Memories

A "small" photo has captured it all. Thank you, Gloria.

It truly was a day that shocked the world! I remember having just turned on the tv to catch the news and they were showing the first tower that had been hit. Just minutes later the second tower was hit.. it was so incredibly shocking and unbelievable. It still brings me to tears thinking of what the people trapped in the towers, and the passengers trapped in the airplane that crashed, must have gone through. Sadly, the effects of the dust continue to haunt those who worked so diligently to rescue people, and then clean up the aftermath of this insane attack! I will never forget 9/11...

It is a day that will stick in my mind forever. Much like the shuttle explosion in my generation or the Kennedy assasination in the generation before. A sweet tribute Gloria.

Thank all of you for your comments. I remember where I was when all the events Regenia mentioned + a few more. Shows my age I guess, but I remember them all.

Great tribute piece. I was at work that day. I will never forget how we all crowded into the conference room to watch as the events unfolded. I still get chills just thinking of it.
