My grandson, Ewan, held his tiny American flag high during a commemoration of the events of 9/11/2001. He asked me why some people killed so many for no reason. He was not born when those events occurred, and yet his life has been affected by them in a way that he cannot understand...can any of us? How can I explain?

What an evocative photo. I think you can say, what I have been saying: That evil is real, that it is here, and that it must be confronted.

One can only hope that one day there will be peace; we all need to work toward that. Let him know that it doesn't always need to be an 'I'm right and you're wrong' world. Beautiful capture, Judy.

Excellent. There are so many children who need to understand the horror of that day and how it change the way of life for America. Very nice commentary portrait.
