"The Blue Houses"

As I was told... "The Blue Houses" in Rotterdam, Holland is a row of condemned old town houses that the city decided to paint blue in order to keep up the appearance in the neighborhood. This photo expedition represents my first visit to a European city. This particular section of Rotterdam did not seem very tourist friendly and I was not at all comfortable on this shoot. However, since the time of this photo I feel more in touch with European culture and realize that I was just a little homesick. As a footnote to this photo... these houses have since been torn down... Comments are welcome

The overall feel of the photo is surrealm with only the woman on the bike pulling you back to reality. I like the fact that she is viewed in motion (fleeting reality?) Composition, colors and lighting are all excellent - great shot!
