What remains of the set of the movie 'Shane',an old western movie. Released in the early '50s, was actually filmed several years earlier but was not considered a money maker. Now considered one of the top 10 western movies ever made.

The site is unmarked and is being allowed to simply return to the earth in its own good time.

    The backdrop of those rugged mountains makes this a perfect setting for a Western. Glad you got to see it OC.

    Beautiful colors. Matches that of the movie. Still remember how George Stevens managed to coax a performance out of normally passive Alan Ladd in the lead role.
