Hard to believe that these vibrant colors of a sunset occur due to smog being in the air. This view is to the southwest of Highway 128 and Simms St. in Broomfield, Colorado with Mt. Evans on the lower right hand corner. This photo was recently published in the "Weather Almanac" by Mike Nelson, Chief Weatherman for KMGH TV Channel 7 in Denver, Colorado.

A local tv station asked for permission to use this in a weather book they published. It will be featured or should say it is featured in the Denver Channel 7 Weather Almanac. Of course they did not offer me a free copy as I just ordered one on line.
