I did not realize is that breast cancer can potentially strike females at almost any age. Juvenile breast carcinoma is a form of breast cancer that affects children and adolescents. This type of the disease accounts for less than 1% of the total cases, worldwide it is still diagnosed in over 300,000 young women annually. Having grand-daughters the fight against breast cancer is even more important to me; while their chances of getting breast cancer now is very slim, some day it might not be.
