This photo is in an old abandoned housing development called Concrete City. Last weekend, I did a photography project there with an award-winning photographer from the area. He contributed by kindly modeling for me in a body suit covered in graffiti to match the walls of these old houses that are covered with it. Like Susan Littlefield's first reaction, it was my first reaction, too, that this hole looked like a reflection. On my first visit to this place last spring, and because of all the noise in the environment, I almost walked into one of these holes in another building. You have to watch every step in this place.

Initially I thought that hold in the floor was a reflection! That guy in the doorway certainly looks scary!!

this is a frightening image! i thought the hole was a reflection too and that realisation that its not makes it doubly scary!
