This historical landmark is located in Livingston Co., KY and was the last last stopping point in Kentucky for the Cherokee indians during the winter of 1838-39 while being relocated to the Oklahoma area as part of President Jackson's Indian Removal Act of 1830. The journey of the indians is more commonly referred to as The Trail of Tears.
