The old neighborhood...
I went back to Staten Island, NY for my reunion, and took a walk. This was my final impression.
Urban blight; suburban
decay. The dynamic of Castleton Avenue, which supported blocks and blocks of neat-as-a-pin homes, is now changed forever. This is what I will remember of a safe and pleasant neighborhood, that I knew from the day I was born, 64 years ago.

A great shot!! I am surprised at the neighborhood my grandmother lived in everytime I go near there. We used to play out in the yard and walk to the store then. Now, it isn't safe to drive thru there.
