this Memerial is to encourage dialogue among people with varied points of view. My point of view is :
USA does't represent democracy : -USA has established dictatorship in Latin America. -Bush was elected by mistake. -USA lies about weapons of massive destruction in Irak... Don't you think so ?
Moreover, the laws are made by various lobbies (agroalimentary, petroleum, etc) against environmental protection or public health. But I hope that the first world power will make progress in those fields, it would be better for earth. ; )

Of course, Caitlin : all Americans aren't like them. I just wanna say that patriotism is a little bit dangerous. And I am frightened to see that lot of people post the American Flag as a symbol of Democraty. So I wanted to point out some facts.

The USA doesn't represent democracy but republicanism. Democracy is a hopeless ideal that would tear apart any sound country. Bush elected by mistake??? Elected fairly by the laws of our country maybe, but mistakenly??? whatever. excellent shot though!
