Nature's heart song
Carries notes of cheer
From cardinals strong
Who try not to fear.
Shall I start to complain
When we walk thru' sludge
After snow storms and rain...
I feel the sweet nudge
Of this bird so bold...
She does not fret
Whether it be hot or cold,
If the feathers of scarlet
Brings love to her household..
