[November 2 – 9, 2011]
Twenty-three of us met in Arizona for a week of sightseeing and picture taking. We could not have had a better hostess than Mary Brown.
On our first full day, we drove to Tucson and stopped at a number of sites, among them the Western Unit of Saguaro National Park.
This photo is taken from the Park’s Visitors’ Center. The Saguaro cactus is an iconic object of Western art, movies, and folklore. It grows to heights of fifty feet or more and lives as long as 150 years or more.
It was the start of an awesome seven days.
It is good to be back. I look forward to having a look at your pictures. It will take me a few days.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
