Deep in the woods behind a Potters Field Cemetery in Omaha Nebraska I came across a large cart used to haul refuse and who knows what else.

I noticed a few trees entwined and ingrown with the metal cats and its wheels (see previous posts).

This cart had obviously been there for a few decades as this tree was over 4 inches in diameter.

The pattern and texture of the wood as it grew into the metal looks like some sort of joint on an ancient creature of some sort.
