Q: How do I buy more Spotlights? I'm new to the site, and I've actually already bought some, but I've forgotten how to do it!

A: Do you know?

The Lord is my light and the strength of my life...Psalm 27: 1

This is a self timer that I shot with my FE2 Nikon film camera in 1996 with a background and lights that I set up in my late folk's garage at the home place...I have been going through some older pictures and scanning them...This is one of them that I really love taken with my sweet mother 15 years ago..I remember cleaning out their garage to find room for my camera equipment and I am so thankful that I was into taking pictures back then to get this portrait. I used this picture to be made into a Christmas Card that year...I only wished I could have gotten my Dad and my husband to be in this portrait too but they were watching a ballgame on TV at the time.

Here is another one of my late mother's poems in her collection.

By Helen L. Aspseter

Love is a small word, but oh how much it means.
All our lives we seek it, need it and cherish it.
Then crash...sometimes we lose it...all hope careens.
It seem our life is over...gone to the bottomless pit:

But then, behold, a ray of sunshine enters the door.
What is it...another chance to experience love anew?
Or is it God who by his grace has so much in store.
So trust him, accept his guidance, love him as he loves you...

What a treasure! You two look wonderful. I am constantly appalled that my family hardly ever took pictures.

Thank you all for your comments...Donald, sometimes it was hard to get family together to be in a portrait because at the time other things took priority..or not everyone liked to have their picture taken...But many years later they are grateful to see these pictures after a loved one passes away. What is great in this day and age is the availability of digital cameras where we don't have to buy film or wait for pictures to come back from the lab and I'll bet there are more pictures taken of family than ever before.
