If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

The Lord is my light and the strength of my life...Psalm 27: 1
This is a self timer that I shot with my FE2 Nikon film camera in 1996 with a background and lights that I set up in my late folk's garage at the home place...I have been going through some older pictures and scanning them...This is one of them that I really love taken with my sweet mother 15 years ago..I remember cleaning out their garage to find room for my camera equipment and I am so thankful that I was into taking pictures back then to get this portrait. I used this picture to be made into a Christmas Card that year...I only wished I could have gotten my Dad and my husband to be in this portrait too but they were watching a ballgame on TV at the time.
Here is another one of my late mother's poems in her collection.
By Helen L. Aspseter
Love is a small word, but oh how much it means.
All our lives we seek it, need it and cherish it.
Then crash...sometimes we lose it...all hope careens.
It seem our life is over...gone to the bottomless pit:
But then, behold, a ray of sunshine enters the door.
What is it...another chance to experience love anew?
Or is it God who by his grace has so much in store.
So trust him, accept his guidance, love him as he loves you...
