Downtown Memphis, Tennessee. The fountains come up directly out of the pavement here, watering a fertile imagination and turning this stop on the trolley line into an alien spaceport. The texture in this image was provided in post-production by a macro photograph of my tennis shoe, which I shot with Jimmy’s new Canon 20D when I was trying it out (“new toy! must play!”).

At a later date I was able to bring a model in to play in these same fountains, and sadly this was early enough in my burgeoning hobby that I didn't know about that pesky thing called a "model release," so I sadly cannot publish the photos here (where they may wind up in print).
