The swimmers show only as blurs in this five-second exposure with my homemade pinhole camera at Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. The pinhole camera is perfect for the beach, because sand, sun and surf don't hurt it. Without a viewfinder, the line level I glued to the top helps to keep horizons straight.
