Found set up. This place has been, variously over the past 20 years, an architects office, a roadside restaurant and then abandoned. It is privately owned property that has given an easement to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife for public access to the Forks of the Elkhorn dam and falls. This is an interesting place as the north and south forks of the Elkhorn Creek run parallel in opposite directions before they converge.
The stone chimney is all that remains of the original structure. I've taken many photos of it over the years, but none have been all that great. This was the right opportunity after someone put the shoes in the old fireplace. Otherwise, it was just another stone chimney sticking up...
