oh! I like it! was it a chance shot or you got them to pose for you..this picture speaks a thousand words

Alwyn Scott Turner said (15 Dec 2011):
Thank you, Sandeep - it was a chance shot in the sense that I was looking for morning in the city...this is from the Philadelphia Portfolio - each morning I would travel downtown with the crowd of office workers - and document activity that goes into the rush hours in the metropolitan area. I don't pose anyone...I approach documentary portraits from a frontal position and try to record the scene as naturally as possible without interfering with the flow of consciousness, and avoid any manipulation or artistic effects - although realism requires more art technique than abstract art images.
The essential element is to view reality from an historical point of view - if that is your perspective, then you usually receive the silent consent of people that are aware of you and sense there is integrity in the motives of your work...that you are not going to make them look foolish from your point of view. A matter of personal integrity and respect...if you are sincere and have honest intentions...they will know it.
All the elements in the perspective and composition have to come together at the right emotional moment in time...it is a fluid movement in space...like dance partners. -

An active narrative.

Surprising and wonderful composition of this photo, I really do not need words to describe it. Perfect even in the dose of color, is almost a miracle that has not been built. Alwyn Bravo, also for the insight.
