If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. I Corinthians 13: 12
Last evening at 4:30 my intention was to shoot a picture of this female cardinal eating peacefully on the feeder..
It was getting dark that time of the night but thought I would take a chance to see what I could do shooting through the window in dim lighting...We weatherize our windows with plastic on the outside to keep the drafts from seeping into our old farm house but it gives some strange effects sometimes with distortions.
The untouched picture from the file is dark and grainy and I almost deleted it until I decided to brighten it up and work with the contrast..and that is all I did with it....the optical illusion astonished me as I could see part of a man's face on the left side that looks like a spirit with a mustache and his eye partly closed and what looks like a Santa face on the other side with a stocking cap..which isn't as clearly defined..I know that not everyone may see the same thing ...but it is still spooky in my opinion and decided to add it to the creepy theme. I shot a few other pictures of the cardinal after this, but the window did not show the same
effect nor distortion as the beginning picture and that's what I find creepy.
Thank you so much, Heather (JanElle) for the Spotlight...I appreciate it!
