A courageous junco
Bowing her head low
Against the raging wind
Hopes the snow will end
Yet she must stay bold
To cope with the cold...
In the spring, birds rejoice
They don't bring sheaves
But they sing by choice
Amongst the olive leaves;
Whilst bearing precious seeds
For their families needs...
Poetry by me AJP
We had snow, and wind this morning but by afternoon the sun came out...I caught this little dark eyed junco on the the trellis around the feeder waiting its turn to get on the bird feeder and the poor little thing looked cold and miserable.... It was hard to keep the seeds from not blowing away with the wind..The ground is covered with snow now in time for Christmas.
