दिवाली की शुभकामनाऐ!
Today (09th November, 2007) is a festive day in India, it's the festival of Diwali: also known as the "Festival of Lights". It is celebrated to welcome "Lord Ram (Sita and Lakshman)" victorious from his war with Ravan and it also coincides with the end of their 14 years of exile.
Above it's a candle in a glass bowl. However the traditional "diya" (दीया ), is an earthen pot (smaller than this bowl) and is lit by a cotton wick and "ghee" (saturated oil).
