This old coke machine has been at the Ashland Feed and Seed store as long as I can remember. And it has probably been there longer than that, they have been in business for many years. I have been going there at least 15 yrs. I remember seeing many of those during my childhood, now mostly in old country stores. Just "happened" to have my camera with me the last time I went! What a neat place to wonder through, and take pics.

Perfect entry, Betty...The red is brilliant! Brings back memories of when coke was made with real sugar instead of fructose corn syrup...good old days:). Happy New Year to you and to your family!

Excellent entry to the theme. I remember seeing quite a few of these coolers in the past, but they are few and far between now.

In the late 60's I worked at a lumber yard that had one of these. You put your money in, lifted the lid, and had to slide the bottle through a maze like setup to get a coke. Great shot, and a fun memory. Oh it took me a while to figure it out, had to be taught by an old crabby carpenter who treated me like an idiot, lol. He was right! lol
