oregon star trails
During the weekend of a strong meteor shower. Roughly a 2 hour exposure shot on Fuji NEOPAN 400 film.

Hey Joe, The only "photoshopping" was scanning, curves, and cropping the frame from the image (accomplished with GIMP), Thanks!

This brings back a memory, taking such a long exposure shot in the backyard with my dad, as a little kid.
While we were waiting and gazing up he'd explain what we could expect the next day in the dark room. That in fact we weren't taking a photo of the sky, but of the earths rotation.

Chris, that memory is beautiful. I can remember the time I spent with my dad gazing at the starry sky on late nights. One night in particular when we searched the nights sky for Halley's comet, allowing our eyes adjust to the darkness for what seemed like forever. I think photographs are amazing, with their ability to trigger memories like yous and mine. Thanks.
