Experimented with taking photos of the silver earrings that the special somone gave me for Christmas. It was a happy surprise because I thought he wasn't going to give me anything, and he enlisted his sister to find out what I wanted and buy it without me knowing.
I went shopping with her because she was going to buy some things for him and their dad. She asked me to help her pick out some silver jewelry because her mom was thinking of selling some. So I helped her to choose. But when I wanted to buy some for myself, she blocked me saying I had too much jewelry already. Which was literally blocking because she prevented me from getting near the counter and told the salesgirl not to wait on me! When we got back she even told him about it right in front of me and they both laughed when I got peeved. Then on New Year's Eve he gave me an envelope and I was touched that he'd remembered to at least give me a card... and then I opened it and found the earrings I'd wanted to buy. Turned out the mom story wasn't true... he'd asked her all along to get me to pick out my own gift without knowing it. Laugh/cry moment!
I still haven't gotten the hang of taking macros with my little GE C1433 digicam yet, and this is one of the clearer photos, otherwise the sparkles all just show up as shiny dots. I've got it on manual, and it tries to focus, but takes the photo too late. Lighting is just an ordinary flourescent light bulb augmented by a flashlight positioned at the upper left. The background is the card he gave me.
