This faceless angel was found in Omahas Historic Prospect Hill cemetery, a resting place for many of Omaha's founding citizens. Its features and information worn away by 100+ years surviving on the plains.

Prospect Hill Cemetery was born on August 4 1858 with the merging of 2 cemeteries The Cedar Hill Cemetery and the Omaha City Cemetery with Forrest Lawn Cemetery taking over administrative affairs in 1887. In 1890 lot owners formed an association to operate Prospect hill which remains in function to this day.

There are veterans from every American war dating back to the war of 1812 with over 100 soldiers who died during the Civil War.
