For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. St. Luke 12:34
How life can define
The heart of the vine...
Oh the joy it was bringing
On the 26th of October
Is what I remember
As the phone began ringing...
My sister and I both cried
When her news to impart
Was that mother had died
From a clot to the heart...
How death does define
The heart of the vine!
Poetry by me AJP
As this self portrait was in the process of being shot by the Dutchman pipe vine on the morning of October 26th, 2011, I did indeed hear the phone ringing through the window...I have been going over some of these pictures in my files of what I was doing on the morning Mom died and I find it ironical that I would be holding these heart leaves on the vine just seconds before I heard the news of her death....This portrait oddly as it sounds brings comfort and peace to me now because of the symbolism.

Life can change for ever in a moment. I am sure you will never be able to look at that vine without being taken back to that moment. Hugs.
