"Pindapata"

Hundreds of monks of the Sangha Council of Representatives of Indonesian Buddhists (Walubi) along with people undergoing procession "pindapata", in the central city of Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia.

Procession of the form submission by a Buddhist alms to the monks Magelang, starting with prayer readings and chanting sacred rebound in Keleteng Liong Hok Bio.

Some times they are each carrying a container of yellow gold and silver walking around the main altar to the local temple terrace which was built in 1864.

Buddhists stood in front of each shop houses along a mile of Street Pemuda, the region "Chinatown" was to give alms, both in money and goods of daily needs of the monks.

Hundreds of Buddhist monks dressed in robes typical predominantly golden yellow color go hand in hand out of the local temples along the sidewalk down the street, to receive alms from the people.

Tradition pindapata by people in the town of Magelang, adopted the habits of Thai Buddhist community who give alms to the monks every day. Alms to the monks of the people, became a symbol of good deeds are taught by the Buddha.
