I am a pueo. I am the Hawaiian owl.
My niece and I were driving out on the Mana Road in Parker Ranch Country. We spied a pueo on a fence post and we stopped and shot from the car window and got off many images. Few people visiting the Big Island get out on Mana Road and fewer get to see a pueo, let along get off several shots. We were very fortunate. My niece is Julianna O'Brien from NYC and she is here on jpg.com and has a very fine eye. It is in the family genes.
