Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

By the breath of God, frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.. Job 37:10

I shot this image in our yard on the morning of January 23rd ...The frost stayed on the trees for two days ..

The benefits of frost,
Comes without cost,
When God gives earth
His spiritual rebirth.
As He covers each tree
With His blessings free.

Thank you all for your nice comments...I love to see the frost which to me is the
best part of winter for taking pictures...I haven't minded this winter so far as it has been fairly mild compared to other years when we've seen lots of blizzards.
Today it got a little nippy but nothing too serious.

Lovely "Currier & Ives" composition. This is what I had in mind when I made my previous comment about the chickadees enduring the Wisconsin winter.

Beautiful! You could make a 4 seasons collage with this scene.
