Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled...
St Luke 6: 21
The red squirrels color tones..
Shone brightly thru' the window,
Absorbing winters grayish fog..
In mid-summer it cuts pine cones
And carries this stash near a log.
Storing it in a cache or burrow
Saving the seeds for tomorrow..
Food source may have run low.
As he seldom comes our way..
Hunger drove him here today.
Poetry by me AJP
We very seldom see this breed of squirrel come to eat on our feeder but as my husband and I were eating breakfast this morning we saw it appear in the fog swishing its red bushy tail ....These little guys are very active and I had to be quick, but careful not to make sudden moves to shoot this picture...Fortunately, because of the fog, I don't think it was too aware of my presence ..on the other hand it was difficult to focus through the window because the lighting was dim..

You did a good job of capturing this little fellow! We only see brown and gray squirrels here in the Southeast.
