But now thus saith the Lord that created thee...and he that formed thee, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee... I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine...Isaiah 43: 1

A dark eyed junco
Hanging on a limb
Covered with snow
Is not there on a whim...

Patience is a learned virtue,
For he wishes to be fed;
Feeling akin to a cold statue
If squirrels get there ahead...

The good Lord redeemed thee...
Like the sweet bird on the tree;
He created the dark-eyed junco
Waiting humbly in line.
"Saying, "Fear not...Thou art mine."
Where e'er thou wilt go...
Poetry by me AJP..

I shot this picture last month on January 23rd ...The dark-eyed Junco sat very patiently on the limb waiting for the squirrel to get done eating, but in the meanwhile I was able to get some close up shots through the window before it got on the feeder at last to eat.

Thank you so much Regenia for nominating this picture to be voted on.

    I can't believe you held this shot back from us for an entire month. It is amazing. The tones, the diagonal lines, the background. Awesome work Andrea.

    Wonderful! You can feel the chill and also the anticipation in its eyes. Glad the poor fellow was finally able to get some food.

    Thank you all for your kind words ...I appreciate your supportive comments
    on my work....I love birds.. This morning the Chickadees were singing to me when I went out to give them sunflower seeds and they give me so much enjoyment in return for feeding them....
