LOL

This is Shiloh, my parents belong to him. My Papa befriended Shiloh’s mother, they belong to her as well, her name is Ally and she was a feral cat at his work, she actually became the shop cat for a while. After the kittens were born Papa decided to keep one, which was Shiloh, and he became a shop cat along with his Mother. They are no longer shop cats, they have lived at home for a while now…years.

You see, I have this amazing human being for a Papa…he is a man who honors his commitments and he made a commitment years ago to a feral colony he had to relocate. My parents live in a mobile home community and many years ago the feral cats resided there as well. Together, My Mom, Papa and I began to trap neuter and release them because the owners and managers of the park were talking of ‘getting rid’ of them but even after many of them were spayed and neutered, the owners still wanted them gone.

My Papa decided he didn’t like their way and took it upon himself to relocate this colony to a place near his work and that is exactly what he did, he did this on his own, because he cared, because it mattered which is a pretty amazing thing all in itself but for me, the most amazing part is the fact that this man has fed these cats everyday, even when he isn’t working, he makes a special trip to take them their food each day…everyday, for years now, rain or shine.

I love my Papa, his heart is rare and beautiful.

Along the way, this colony has brought us Not just Ally and Shiloh, but also Oliver, the newest addition.

Funny thing is, Shiloh is not an angry cat at all, he is a lover kitty, I just happen to snap this in the middle of a look. LOL*

And Remember…It’s Your Call.

When you find a cat outdoors, calling animal control will most likely lead to the death of the cat. Alley Cat Allies will protect the rights of an outdoor cat.
