'J' with a rainbow trout just returning from a year or two of living in the Pacific Ocean. The fresh water rainbow trout that spend time in the saltwater are called "steelhead" and have a real attitude when they return to fresh water. They are one of just a few fish that are hatched and spend their first year in fresh water then migrate to the oceans for a year or more, returning to spawn more of their kind, then return to the ocean. They can make the fresh/salt migration several times in their life span, most fish that go from fresh to salt and back to spawn die after spawning.
I think she is please with her addition to our table fare.

It's my understanding that her fish ate your fish, which is why we're seeing the delightful J in the photo instead of you!!! What a terrific capture of your beautiful better half!!
