RIP, My Old Friends

You learn to rely on a good pair of boots to get you through the rough stuff. This pair carried me across concrete and highway, ice and snow, mud and fire, for 4 years. This year's Badlands trip finally did them in. Note the hole burned through the sole - got a little too close to the fire that time (oops). Long exposure, painted light.
