Art thou the first man that was born? Or was thou made before the hills?
Job 15: 7
This is a mirrored image turned around in a diptych of the same picture of an old stump in back of our house. Beforehand I had been shooting pictures of the tiny Crocuses on April 10, 2011 and did a macro on the stump by itself as well that the flowers encircle.. I didn't see "the old man in the stump" until today when looking through my spring pictures from last year..and he leaped out at me as though to say, "Here I am! ......LOL
There is an old man
Who upon a stump abides.
He's lived a long life span,
And discreetly he hides.
Oft' His face he won't show
When camouflaged in green,
Or covered with snow...
He's no where to be seen..
If he plays hocus- pocus
Amongst the spring Crocus,
He vanishes in thin air
Not always understood,
If you can't see him there,
Inside the grain of the wood...

mirrored images in natures art ... wood is a great source for finding mystical

Just the tones and detail in this image alone, are wonderful.. but the more I look the more I see.. like maybe an Aztec warrior in the centre and another figure inside of that. Amazing work, Andrea, and very inspiring!
