In January of 2005 I was among the members of the The American Women's Club Shanghai that went to Hong Wei School with a truck load of about 500 gifts. The presents had been collected for Shanghai’s Giving Tree program, a charity dedicated to giving Chinese New Year and Spring Festival gifts to needy school children, many of them from migrant families. To say the least all of us women fell in love with these children.

In the Making a Difference photo essay.

You have really put together some great memories of that time and it all fits the community service theme excellently. Outstanding series and this is a wonderful shot. I'll bet some of these children are now teen agers.
