In January of 2005 I was among the members of The American Women's Club Shanghai that headed to Hong Wei School with a truck load of about 500 gifts. The presents had been collected for Shanghai’s Giving Tree program, a charity dedicated to giving Chinese New Year and Spring Festival gifts to needy school children, many of them from migrant families. All of us will always treasure what we experienced with these beautiful children.
