I was fortunate enough to be the Photographer on staff during the Trout Creek Dam removal project in July of '09. This would open up Salmon and Steelhead spawning areas in the Wind River drainage in Washington State.
As the water was drained from the old lake, a large scale fish re-introduction project was mounted over 4 days. During this time, species were removed, tagged, data collected, then the fish were released in designated areas above and below the project zone.
Here a volenteer is set to release a large tagged Steelhead into a pool 1/4 mile upstream from the project.
