Home made traditional Jugaad, a 3-wheeler bicycle used by wholesale market porters to pedal up to 500kg across town for the various vegetable and fruit stands, dhaba restaurants etc... The green bananas loaded on this tricycle are used as-is for a local battered-&-fried snack sold on street stalls and by chai shops.
A market day begins in midnight on the previous night as trucks stream into the empty market square and unload their produce. Waiting in cue on the dirt street margins, many laborers in their Veshti (lungi) are sleeping on atop mountains of potatoes or onions inside truck beds. The only lodge room for humble Rs.100 a night was located in this 24hrs active street and just below my balcony is where it all happened. No complaints here, my balcony was the best point of view around the clock :). In fact, the high-piled trucks reached the level of the first floor so I got zoomless closeups of working and sleeping porters and a clear top view of market stalls.
