The Tower of London, as captured from a boat on the Thames on a very drizzly, chilly day. Dating from 1066 AD, it has been used for everything from a prison to the Royal Mint. Now it houses the British Crown Jewels.

I have read so much about the people prisoned here. A sad end for many in such a beautiful accomodations. Another terrific shot.

What a beautiful capture, Don! Isn't that an amazing structure? It is hard to believe anything can endure for over 1000 years.

I visited this beautiful monument in 1990 AD, rich in history and beautifully built of stone. Precious.
