The Newport Tower, located in Rhode Island was constructed in the 15th century, destroyed in the 16th, and rebuilt in the 17th century. It has been carbon dated to over 500 years old and is cited in the book, "Ancient Signposts". The Templar Knights have been thought to have a connection to this site.

The Norse came to N. A. circa 1000 AD. This landmark purportedly points to Inspiration Peak, a N. A. survey marker, which identified the site over 7000 years before the tower was built. See link
