My grandmother has always been the most loving person I know. She has Alzheimer's disease but has not forgotten how to show us her love. I took this photo on a visit to the nursing home. She was holding my mother's hand as if to say I'll always love you.

    You can see the character thru the hands, and that line...goodness brings tears to my eyes nothing could explain it better. PS I can barely read that book to my kids w/o choking up.

    Alzheimer's is really hard, and i think it's interesting to capture in photographs. My photo in "beloved" tries to do the same thing.

    This is by far the most touching photo for me in this theme. My eyes welled up with tears, at the thought of my father, of whom also suffers from alzheimers. I hope to see this one in print!
