Not exactly where I like to see any animal, but she seems to be pretty wise about highway traffic and the title seemed to fit the image. She is the same fox who raised a litter of kits nearby last summer, this was taken just after she had moved them from a building nearby, which she still visits frequently. I don't know if any of her kits survived the winter, but two of them disappeared late last summer, before she moved the others. It's a hard life for these little guys..

This is such a lonely shot. Beautiful but very lonely.

I agree with Regenia. And yes, it is a hard life, and you wonder how they ever survive!

Winters are so hard on the wildlife and I am so glad to see it warming up where we live...I hope not too many died over the winter..

Have to agree. Not really where one likes to see wildlife. It does appear she is being careful.. Well seen.

It is a lonely shot, but she does seem to be "street wise". Life is definitely hard on the critters during winters.
