Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? Isaiah 40: 12

Who dug out the hollow
To enter the bluebird house?
It wasn't a barn swallow,
Nor would a field mouse
Chew out that big of a chunk!.
Perhaps an eager squirrel
Thought the upper bunk,
On the tree where it hung,
Was a good place to burrow
And to raise her young.
Poetry by me AJP

My husband had just cleaned out the bluebird house on the evening of the 16th and he hung it back up on the tree...By the next day something dug a huge hole in the opening..We are suspecting a squirrel who might have intentions of building a nest for its babies...It will be interesting to see who the new tenants will be in the bluebird house.. I kind of suspect it might be the little red squirrel who has been hanging around the feeder lately. Her lodging wouldn't be too far from the eats....

Beautiful photo, love the red tones. It is interesting that some critter made a bigger hole, and like you I would suspect that little red squirrel. I hope that you can capture who the new tenant will be : )
