A Sari can make a great baby hammock: its long enough to be mounted from the ceiling, light and breezy for the mid summer afternoon rest and non expensive. Oh.... and colorful as a Tiffany lamp when the sunlight shoots through it.
... and then there's the swing plus the safety from all insects, rodents or reptiles.
Here, in a village in Tamil Nadu we came for the biggest cross-dresser / Lady-boys festival. It's actually an ancient Hindu event guarded by a local temple god. The many guests staying at the relatives home, we slept outside on a mat by the two cows. A very cozy and heart warming experience, sharing a bed with the rest of the guests.
